Vancouver-based Necking manage to make the tightly wound jitteriness of classic post-punk sound positively fresh on their debut album, <I>Cut Your Teeth</I>. The fearless female foursome have a dark sense of humor but an even sharper sense for melodies that wriggle and bite—just see the fabulously fiery single “Big Mouth,” which carries the angst of indie-rock greats like Sleater-Kinney and Pixies.
